Superintendent of Schools Dr. Micah Stauffer has begun a four-day tour of Wicomico County Public Schools. The purpose of the tour is to share insights and initiatives for the school district and to gather input from its over 3,000 employees. These visits, which will take place at almost every school building, are a continuation of tours Dr. Stauffer conducted in 2022 after becoming superintendent. The visits replace the large kickoff celebration that used to gather all staff in one location in late August.

Today, Dr. Stauffer visited Parkside High, Wicomico High, Choices Academy, Beaver Run Elementary, and Willards Elementary. He started the day by speaking with staff from seven schools - East Salisbury, Pemberton, Pittsville, Bennett Middle, Salisbury Middle, Wicomico Middle, and James M. Bennett High - as they gathered in the JMB Auditorium for training.
