The Salisbury Police Department responded to a report of an assault with a machete at a residence on Virginia Ave. A 30-year-old male victim was attacked by a 33-year-old male suspect during a discussion. The suspect wielded the machete, causing non-life-threatening injuries to the victim. A third party intervened and the suspect fled the scene. The victim sought medical treatment, and the suspect has been identified. Officers will be pursuing criminal charges. Anyone with information is urged to contact the SPD or Crime Solvers anonymously.
