The San Francisco Fire Department will have a remembrance ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, to honor the emergency responders and civilians who died in the 9/11 attacks. The ceremony will take place at all SFFD facilities. You can watch the ceremony on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/sffdp/live_videos/. Each station in San Francisco will hold a smaller remembrance ceremony as well. The ceremony will begin at 6:45 a.m. PST with apparatus rolling out of bays, followed by fire department personnel assembling at attention at 6:58 a.m. PST. At 6:59 a.m. PST, the apparatus bell will ring 3 sets of 3 chimes each to signify "The Last Alarm." The lower station flag will be half-staffed at 7:00 a.m. PST.
