The Rapides Parish School Board has announced the availability of free at-home learning kits provided by the Louisiana Department of Education. These kits are designed to help children develop age-appropriate skills in preparation for school.

Each kit includes several educational items, such as a 52-piece wooden puzzle from Melissa & Doug, a "First Words" book, a "Knees and Toes" activity, and a shape sorter. The kits also feature materials that help children learn the alphabet.
