At Geneva High School, Ms. Walker’s Food Science students are participating in the statewide Ag in the Classroom Mac & Cheese Challenge. The students have been learning about New York’s dairy industry, including local farm operations and cheese-making processes.

During the project, teams spent time in the school kitchen developing their own mac and cheese recipes. They also created short marketing commercials that focus on New York dairy. After preparation, the class taste-tested each dish and reviewed the commercials produced by all teams.

The activity connected culinary skills with agricultural education, allowing students to explore New York's dairy industry while engaging in culinary science.
