Red Newt Cellars Hosts Mexican-Inspired Winemaker Brunch

Red Newt Cellars Winery & Bistro in Hector, New York, will host its 2nd Annual Winemakers’ Brunch on December 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. The event will feature a menu of Mexican-inspired dishes paired with selected wines.

The brunch menu includes a first course of housemade sope with refried black beans, adobo chicken, pickled red onion, crema, and cilantro, paired with a 2019 Pinot Gris. The second course offers corn tortilla quiche cups with a seasonal salad and a 2023 Dry Riesling from Glacier Ridge. The third course features chilaquiles smothered in red chile sauce with carne asada, queso fresco, diced onion, egg, and cilantro, paired with a 2023 Cabernet Franc from Glacier Ridge. The dessert course is a Mexican chocolate pâté paired with Hellbender.

Tickets are available on the winery’s website under Wine Dinners and Events. The cost is $75 per person or $65 for club members.
