Geneva Police Launch Holiday DWI Crackdown

The City of Geneva Police in Geneva, New York, has announced an increase in patrols and sobriety checkpoints as part of the Stop DWI High Visibility Enforcement Campaign this holiday season. According to the police, the campaign is designed to prevent impaired driving incidents and reduce the number of serious injury and fatal crashes on local roads.

Police are urging residents to plan ahead for a sober ride by using designated drivers, rideshare services, or public transportation. They also encourage community members to speak up if they see someone preparing to drive while impaired.

Law enforcement officials emphasize that these measures are intended to enhance public safety during the holiday season and to ensure that celebrations remain safe. For more information on the campaign, residents can visit www.stopdwi.org or download the “Have a Plan” app.
