Officer Raul Arroyo retires after 20-year career
Geneva City Schools in Geneva, New York, announced the retirement of Officer Raul Arroyo after 20 years in law enforcement, including more than a decade as the Geneva City School District’s School Resource Officer.
On joining the district’s schools in 2012, Officer Arroyo “became something truly special in our community — not just an officer, but a constant, caring presence in the lives of our students and staff. He is someone students trust, someone staff rely on, and someone families feel comfortable turning to, especially within our Spanish-speaking community.”
“To say he will be missed doesn’t quite capture it. Officer Arroyo is deeply loved in Geneva, and you simply could not ask for a better SRO.”
The district said it was proud to celebrate him at his retirement walkout ceremony this week, surrounded by the people whose lives he impacted every day. “Congratulations on an incredible career, and thank you for everything you gave to our schools and our community. We hope this next chapter still keeps you close to Geneva.”
