Last week, the North Street School band room in Geneva, New York, was full of energy as students performed a pop-up jazz concert.

The informal performance gave students a chance to showcase their growing skills in jazz and improvisation—thinking on their feet, taking risks, and finding their sound in front of a live audience.

Moments like this go beyond practice—they build confidence, creativity, and the kind of real-world learning that sticks.
