Wake County warns of major heat risk
Wake County Government said there is a major heat risk today and through the weekend.
In a post shared on Facebook, the county urged people who plan to be outdoors or support the #Canes to practice #HeatSafety.
The county recommended drinking plenty of water to stay hydrated and taking frequent breaks in the shade or air-conditioning.
It also advised people to avoid direct sun when possible, including wearing sunscreen and a hat, and to wear lightweight, loose clothing.
