North Port Fire Rescue has welcomed a new team member, Dave Grandt, as their Life Safety/Fire Prevention Officer. Originally from Nebraska, Dave has been with the City of North Port for nearly 19 years. He started in Public Works in 2005 and transitioned to Code Enforcement for the last two years before joining NPFR on July 1st. Dave has a strong passion for the fire service, having been a volunteer firefighter in Nebraska. In addition to his work, he enjoys spending time with his daughter and is an active sports fan and coach at local high schools. Dave is excited to continue his career with the city and serve the community. #welcometotheteam
