North Port firefighters complete Paramedic In Charge training successfully.

Reviewed by Todd Vandersline / NPlocal.org

Four North Port firefighters, Zachary Jesswein, Evan Osborne, Phillip Osipov, and Yohank Benitez, have completed their training to become Paramedic In Charge (PIC) at North Port Fire Rescue (NPFR). This training involves working under a preceptor, passing practical exams, and undergoing three mock medical scenarios in front of NPFR's medical director, Dr. Johnson. Once approved, they will have the responsibility of managing medical calls and pre-hospital patient care. The preceptors who assisted in the training process were FTO Keith Barreto, FTO Zargham, FTO McHale, and FTO Roman. The NPFR team congratulates the new PICs on their achievement and expresses gratitude to everyone involved in the training process. #EMSisCool #HereIfYouNeedUs #alwaysready.
