Isabella Street Lane Reopens After Repair Completion
Staff Report / Salisburylocal.org
The City of Salisbury, Maryland has announced the reopening of the westbound lane of Isabella Street, located between Mill and Lake Streets, as of 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024. The detours that were in place during repairs have been removed, allowing traffic to flow normally through the area once again.
The repairs took several weeks to complete, with a thorough investigation conducted to determine the cause of the road's failure. The City’s Field Operations crew, in collaboration with a contractor, addressed the issue by digging and filling a sinkhole that had compromised the road's integrity.
Mike Dryden, Director of Field Operations, expressed appreciation for the patience and understanding of the residents during the repair process, stating that the area has now returned to normal.
