**Wake Tech Students Shine at SparkNC Hackathon, Showcasing Problem-Solving Skills**
Morrisville, NC – Wake County Public Schools celebrated the innovative spirit of students during the 2025 SparkNC Hackathon, where young minds from Wake County’s SparkLab competed virtually against their counterparts in Asheboro City Schools’ SparkLab.
The event challenged students to identify relevant problems in their communities, conduct thorough research, gather input from stakeholders, and propose creative solutions. The competition culminated with students presenting their carefully mapped-out pitches to a panel of judges, peers, and members of the tech-business community.
Held on a teacher workday, the event saw students voluntarily dedicating their time and energy to the Hackathon. Organizers from SparkLab NC expressed pride in the participants' commitment, highlighting their creativity, critical thinking, and motivation to enact real change.
The Hackathon showcased the power of youth innovation, emphasizing the importance of education and technology in addressing community challenges.
