NC Conference Tackles Black Maternal and Infant Health
A conference focused on Black maternal and infant health will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14, at the McKimmon Conference and Training Center at NC State University. The event, organized by Wake County Government in Raleigh, North Carolina, runs from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. and offers registration for $50.
The theme for the conference is "Healing the Water: Transforming Systems for Black Maternal & Infant Health." The gathering will include health leaders, researchers, care providers, and community organizers. The conference aims to create a network of public health professionals and local advocates working to address racial disparities in care.
