Ana Lluberes, an 8th Grade Science teacher at West Lake Middle School in Apex, North Carolina, was honored this week by the APSF Shoutout program. Despite being in her first full year of teaching, Ms. Lluberes has been recognized for her engaging lessons and hands-on activities, with observers noting that she displays the expertise of a veteran teacher.

The recognition event received support from local businesses, including FRESH Local Ice Cream and McDonald’s of Apex, and assistance from Harnett County. The celebration was organized by the Apex Foundation along with West Lake Middle School PTSA and the Town of Apex Government. West Lake Middle School is part of the Wake County Public School System.
