Congresswoman Presents $1.075M Check for Linden 9-1-1 Upgrades

The Linden Police Department said that on Tuesday, Congresswoman LaMonica McIver presented a check for $1,075,000 to Mayor Derek Armstead to support upgrades to Linden’s 9-1-1 Dispatch Center.

The department said the improvements are meant to enhance the technology and infrastructure dispatchers rely on each day to answer emergency calls and coordinate emergency responses throughout the community.

In its Facebook post, the department thanked the congresswoman for continued support and for working to secure federal funding for projects it said strengthen public safety and improve services for Linden residents.
