On September 4, 2024, at around 12:20 PM, officers from the Salisbury Police Department were on patrol near E. Vine St. and Hastings St. in Salisbury, Maryland. They spotted a group of males entering an alleyway, followed by two juvenile males emerging from the same alley. Gunshots were heard from the alley, prompting the two juveniles to run as the officers believed they were fleeing danger. 20-year-old Leon Spry and 19-year-old Jamarion Downs were arrested in connection with the incident, with Spry found in possession of a semi-automatic handgun. Both individuals were taken to the Salisbury Police Department before being transferred to the Wicomico County Detention Center. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
