**Eastern Wake Area Plan Community Input Sought for Development Over the Next Decade**

Wake County Government is inviting residents to share their thoughts and ideas regarding the future development of the unincorporated eastern Wake area. The area, as outlined on the official map, will be the focus of a new area plan to guide growth and improvements over the next 10 years.

The Eastern Wake Area Plan aims to gather insights from the community on key components such as housing, infrastructure, open spaces, farms, and building development. The county is engaging residents in several ways to ensure widespread participation.

Wake County has planned a **virtual community meeting** to be held on **Thursday, March 6, at 11:30 a.m.** This meeting offers an opportunity for residents to learn more about the plan and voice their preferences. Those interested can also explore an **interactive map** to share specific ideas about the region. Additionally, a **community survey** is available as another avenue for feedback.

For more information, links to the survey, and access to the interactive map, residents can visit www.wake.gov/EW. Wake County stresses the importance of participation in shaping the area's future development.

Sources for the plan include multiple entities, such as USGS, Wake County GIS, NOAA, North Carolina DOT, and others. These organizations contributed to the map and data materials forming the foundation of the Eastern Wake Area Plan.
