**Wake County Public School System to Honor Teacher of the Year Semi-Finalists Tonight**

Apex, North Carolina - The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) will recognize 20 exceptional educators during tonight’s Board of Education meeting. These teachers have been announced as semi-finalists for the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year award.

The honored educators were first nominated by their peers at their respective schools. A special committee then reviewed the nominations and selected the semi-finalists. WCPSS is encouraging the community to support and celebrate these outstanding teachers as they continue their journey toward the Teacher of the Year recognition.

The Board of Education meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be streamed live online for those who wish to congratulate and follow the semi-finalists.
