The City of Bend warned travelers to plan ahead as road work ramps up on Franklin Avenue.

What to expect: Westbound Franklin Avenue will be closed from Third Street to Fourth Street. The closure is set to run July 6 through the end of July. A detour will route drivers via Eighth Street, Greenwood Avenue, and Third Street.

The city said work will also continue between First Street and Third Street, and additional changes to traffic patterns are expected. It urged drivers to expect delays, follow posted detours, and use extra caution in the work zone.
