A recent incident in Salisbury, Maryland saw Ion Nantu of Glendale, NY taken into custody by the Salisbury Police Department. During a traffic stop on July 21, 2024, officers found items related to credit/debit card "skimmers" in his vehicle. Skimmers are used to unlawfully obtain personal financial information. Nantu was released to the Wicomico County Detention Center following his arrest. Residents are urged to stay vigilant when using card machines, watching out for any signs of tampering or irregularities.
