**Ligon Magnet Middle School Band Named National Winner in Blue Ribbon Awards**
APEX, NORTH CAROLINA – The Ligon Magnet Middle School Band has achieved national recognition as a National Winner of the prestigious National Band Association (NBA) Blue Ribbon Award. This honor highlights the program's excellence and its recent designation as a Southern Division Winner earlier this semester.
The NBA’s Programs of Excellence Blue Ribbon Award is a significant accolade in the band community. To qualify, programs must submit recordings of performances from bands across various levels spanning the past four years. The rigorous application process underscores the achievement of the Ligon Magnet Middle School Band.
An official NBA representative will present the band with the Blue Ribbon plaque during an upcoming school concert later this year. The accomplishment brings pride to the school and to Wake County Public Schools for fostering musical excellence.
