Tempe Elementary Awards Excellence to Outstanding Staff

The Tempe Elementary School District announced the winners of the Excellence Award for the 2024-2025 school year during their Governing Board meeting on Wednesday, May 22. These awards are based on colleague nominations received through the Spotlight Awards program throughout the year.

The award recipients include staff members recognized from various schools within the district. On the back side of the ceremony photo, the honorees were Lauren Barrett (Fees), Sloane Heckel (Arredondo), Martha Jacobo-Smith (Frank), Tara Staroszik (Broadmor), Desirae Ellis (Holdeman), Nicole Boyd (McKemy), Margaret Mullen (Meyer), Kerry Durazo (Mosley), Dapri Ross (Nevitt), and Bryan Bennett (Scales). The front side featured Allison Ewers (Governing Board President), Patricia Saavedra (Rover), Christina Fobbs-Guillory (Getz), Pam Burnsworth (Ward), Bruno Cardenas (Brogan), Daron Gonzales (Sanchez/Bustoz), Katelyn Wirtz (Carminati), Kelsey Garner (Connolly), Jennifer Martinez (Curry), Jennifer Waller (Wood/Holdeman), Melanny Navarro (Thew), Emily Waybrant (Shamley), and Stacey Johnson (Spracale).

Two additional award winners, Araceli Carvajal (Aguilar) and Lisa Harasha (Fuller), were not pictured during the ceremony.
