Apex Teacher Celebrated for Innovative Classroom Collaboration
A 4th grade teacher at Middle Creek Elementary in Apex, North Carolina, has been recognized for her efforts in engaging students and building a collaborative classroom community. Rebecca Bryant uses Kagan structures to promote cooperative learning, which encourages teamwork and mutual respect among her students. Her methods have helped students develop strong academic and social skills by actively involving every child in classroom activities.
The recognition was part of this week’s APSF Shoutout, and local businesses including FRESH Local Ice Cream, McDonald’s of Apex, as well as Harnett County, helped celebrate the honoree. Other supporters of the event include the Middle Creek Elementary School PTA, the Town of Apex Government, and Wake County Public School System.
