Faith-Based Partners Support Wicomico Schools' Open House

Staff Report / Salisburylocal.org

Wicomico County Public Schools and its Faith-Based Partners held a Fall Open House on Wednesday evening at Wesley Temple United Methodist Church in Salisbury. Dr. George Whitehead of Salisbury's Promise also participated in the event.

Each of Wicomico County's 26 schools and programs has at least one Faith-Based partner that assists with various resources, including food, clothing, and school supplies. Some partners offer prayer groups for teachers before school starts.

Debbie Reynolds, a teacher from Wicomico Middle School and the current Wicomico County Teacher of the Year, served as the guest speaker at the event. The school district expressed gratitude to the Faith-Based partners for their contributions to staff and students.
